Growing up with his family ties from the south, B. Wilks was exposed to all types of music ranging from R&B, the earliest forms of rap, hip-hop and, of course, jazz and the blues.  In his teens B. realized he was fascinated by sound.  During this time, without any experience of formal musical training, B. began to pickup the guitar, the drums, and sequencing.  With such an open mind to all types of music, B. could hear the depths of such genres as rock, reggae, country, house and techno to name a few. Still, to this day, B. Wilks has yet to receive any high level professional lessons.  In a "do-it-all" fashion on his albums, B. plays all the instruments, writes, arranges, produces, mixes and masters from start to finish.  This is a God given talent that B. is truly thankful to have.  Having done so much with other musicians and worked so hard throughout the years, it's time to introduce B. Wilks to the world as a true solo artist.
